Promotional account opening conditions for Aktív and Premium Banking accounts: 
40,000 HUF account opening credit: available for new adult customers who open promotional HUF Retail and Premium accounts from 2025.03.10 until withdrawal, but no later than 2025.05.09
(for online account opening, the application must be completed by the withdrawal date or by 18:00 on 2025.05.09 at the latest) and meet the conditions of monthly fee exemption, Loyalty Program registration, and a 1-year loyalty commitment. 

The account opening credit promotion does not apply to accounts opened at Raiffeisen financial partner points.
A new customer is defined as someone who has not held a Raiffeisen Retail, Premium, or Private Banking account in any currency in the six months prior to account opening. The 40,000 HUF credit must be repaid if the account is closed within the loyalty period.
Additional 40,000 HUF credit (if the customer has already qualified for the account opening credit): for a new Savings Account opened between 2025.03.10 and 2025.05.30, with a monthly increase of 5,000 HUF for 6 months.

How can you become a Premium Banking Plus customer? 

  • If you receive at least HUF 700,000 each month in a single monthly payment4 to your account or you keep assets in an amount of at least HUF 10,000,0004 with us.

Retail HUF account management with debit card service, internet banking and mobile application services, purchases with a debit card domestically and internationally

Eligibility criteria:
Pre-condition for the use of the account is

  • to receive on a monthly basis (i) from outside the Bank or (ii) from within the Bank, from a legal person or a company without legal personality or a sole trader, in a lump sum of four times the monthly gross minimum wage (the statutory minimum amount of the basic salary of a full-time employee for full-time work) in HUF or the equivalent amount in a foreign currency quoted by the Bank (this is HUF 1,067,200 on 1st February 2024, HUF 1,163,200 from 01.01.2025), or
  • that the aggregate balance of the Customer's savings with Raiffeisen Bank is at least fifty times the current gross monthly minimum wage or the equivalent amount in foreign currency. (this is HUF 13,340,000 on 1st February 2024, HUF 14,540,000 from 01.01.2025), but it should not exceed the lowest amount of the required savings specified in the current List of Terms & Conditions for Private Customers, i.e. the Private Banking segment limit

Verification of the condition:
The Bank shall verify compliance with the above conditions on the last working day of the relevant month (reference month). The Bank shall examine the fulfilment of the above crediting condition for the relevant month (reference month) from the 20th day of the month preceding the reference month to the 19th day of the reference month. The Bank does not verify the fulfilment of the conditions for the use of the account fee package during the month of setting up the account fee package and the first following month (grace period), but will do so on the last working day of the next month. For the purposes of this condition, the Bank shall not consider a transfer between own accounts as a credit transfer. When calculating the aggregate savings balance, the Bank takes into account: The balance of Raiffeisen bank accounts, the amount of time deposits and the aggregate closing balance of securities accounts with Raiffeisen Bank available on the day of verification. The Bank determines the HUF equivalent of foreign currency credits and/or savings by taking into account the Raiffeisen Bank's mid exchange rate valid for individuals on the day of the verification

Charging account management fee:
 After the grace period, in case of non-compliance with the condition, the Bank shall be entitled to charge a monthly account keeping fee, due on the 3rd working day of the month following the month concerned. 

Promotion: From 1 February 2024 until 31st December 2026, the Bank will not charge a monthly account keeping fee, and will consider the conditions for using the Premium Banking Plus account to have been met during the promotional period, if the amount

  • of the above-mentioned crediting to the account equals to at least HUF 700,000 or its foreign currency equivalent, or
  • the aggregate balance of the above assets (savings) deposited with the Bank equals or exceeds HUF 10,000,000 or its equivalent in a foreign currency.

4 During a special promotion period until 31.12.2026, you need to have a minimum monthly single-amount credit of HUF 700,000 or at least HUF 10 million savings with our Bank to be eligible for Premium Banking Plus. Non-promotional conditions are specified in the List of Conditions currently applicable, which, in the case of a Premium Banking Plus account, includes a monthly credit of at least four times the current minimum wage, or savings with our Bank in the amount of at least fifty times the current minimum wage.

Useful info for opening an account online

Currently, only Hungarian nationals over 18 years of age with Hungarian tax residence, holding a valid ID card and a Hungarian address card, who have not opened any retail bank account, securities account or loan with us yet, can open an account online. If you have a current account with our bank, please contact one of our branches to open a new account.


What do I need to open an account online without visiting a branch office?

  • A mobile device or desktop computer with a camera or a laptop with a webcam
  • Personal ID document
  • Address card


What are the technical requirements for video identification?

To initiate the application you need a mobile device with a camera, or a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam. For video identification you will need a camera, microphone/headset turned on and Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser or smartphone

  • Android: 4.4 or higher and Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser
  • iOS: 11.2.6 or higher and Safari browser


What should I be aware of when taking photos of a document?

  • Take a photo of the back of your ID card.
  • Shoot the photo of the document on a well-lit, flat surface.
  • If you are using a mobile device to open your account online, when taking photos of your documents, please choose the back camera for better quality. When switching cameras, you may experience a brief interruption in both sound and picture.


I have confirmed my phone number and agreed to the declarations, after which I have not received any email. What should I do?

Check your spam folder or register again with the correct email address. If you do not repeat the registration, we will call you within 24 hours.

 


When should I start the video identification?

  • Any time between 8-20 on working days, but no later than until 20:00 the day following your registration.
  • If you need to wait please do not click and refresh the page as it will restart your waiting time.
  • It is important that during the identification process you should be able to be alone in a room for about 10-15 minutes.


How can I start video identification?

  • After initiating the online account opening process, click on the "Video identification" button, or
  • Click on the "Video identification" button in the email sent to your email address (by 20:00 on the working day following your registration)
  • If the call is disconnected, you can return to the video call by clicking on the "Video identification" button contained in the email


Can I modify the selected bank account or credit card during video identification?

If you need assistance in choosing a bank account or credit card, please contact our colleagues because the video call is only for identification purposes. You cannot make any changes during the video call, only by initiating a new registration.

Choose to open your account using a selfie with the myRaiffeisen mobile app if: 

  • you hold a new type of chip ID card issued after 2016,
  • you have an NFC-enabled mobile phone,
  • you would like to choose from the following accounts: Premium Banking, Premium Banking Plus
  • 0-24 hours availability

For accounts opened between 8:00 and 19:00 on working days, the account will be opened within 1 hour, and for accounts opened outside this period, the account will be opened by 9:00 on the next working day.

Account openings initiated on working days between 8:00 and 19:00 will be completed within an hour; otherwise, they will be processed by 9:00 on the next working day. We will send a notification of the successful account opening to the provided email address and also include the access path to the contractual documents.

The notification email about the successful account opening will include an attachment (.zip file) containing the Direkt Identifier PDF.

At https://direktnet.raiffeisen.hu click on the ACTIVATE tab to enter your eight-digit Direct Identifier and the one-time Raiffeisen Digital Channel activation code linked to the Direct Identifier you received in the SMS.
