Why is it worth opening a Premium Banking account?
You can choose from a wide range of investment products to grow your existing assets or also start a Raiffeisen Recurring Investment.
1 Promotion until June 30, 2026: According to the current Premium Banking List of Conditions, for a Premium Banking account, 2 domestic (from any ATM) and 2 foreign (from EEA member states) cash withdrawals per month are free of charge; for a Premium Banking Plus account, 3 domestic (from any ATM) and 3 foreign (from EEA member states) cash withdrawals per month are free of charge.
2 The fee will be waived if the conditions are met. If the conditions are not met, the promotional account management fee until 2026.06.30 is 15,000 HUF/month, and the non-promotional fee is 15,555 HUF/month.
3 Up to a total value of HUF 1,000,000 (regardless of the number of transactions) in a given calendar month, intra-bank and inter-bank (collectively) one-off transfers are free of charge, a fee for each additional transfer exceeding this amount: for the portion exceeding HUF 50,000 0,45%, max. HUF 20,000.
4 The annual card fee for the VISA Classic card is 0 HUF in the first year and remains free from the second year onwards if the customer makes purchase transactions totaling at least 1,500,000 HUF in the 12 months preceding the annual fee charge. If the condition is not met, the annual fee is 10,000 HUF.
How can you become a Premium Banking customer?
If you are over 18 years old and you receive at least HUF 400,000 each month in a single monthly payment1 to your account
Retail HUF account management with debit card service, internet banking and mobile application services, purchases with a debit card domestically and internationally
Eligibility criteria
Pre-condition for the use of the account is to receive on a monthly basis (i) from outside the Bank or (ii) from within the Bank, from a legal person or a company without legal personality or a sole trader, in a lump sum of at least twice the monthly gross minimum wage (the statutory minimum amount of the basic salary of a full-time employee for full-time work) in HUF or the equivalent amount in a foreign currency quoted by the Bank, credited to the Customer's account, provided that the amount of the credit does not exceed the minimum monthly credit amount currently specified for the Premium Banking Plus account. For the purposes of this condition, the Bank shall not consider a transfer between own accounts as a credit transfer.
Verification of the condition
The Bank shall verify compliance with the above conditions on the last working day of the relevant month (reference month). The Bank shall examine the fulfilment of the above crediting condition for the relevant month (reference month) from the 20th day of the month preceding the reference month to the 19th day of the reference month. The Bank does not verify the fulfilment of the conditions for the use of the account fee package during the month of setting up the account fee package and the first following month (grace period), but will do so on the last working day of the next month.
The Bank determines the HUF equivalent of foreign currency credits by taking into account the Raiffeisen Bank's mid exchange rate valid for individuals on the day of the verification.
Charging account management fee
After the grace period, in case of non-compliance with the condition, the Bank shall be entitled to charge a monthly account keeping fee, due on the 3rd working day of the month following the month concerned.
Promotion: From 1 February 2024 until 31st December 2026, the Bank will not charge a monthly account keeping fee, and will consider the conditions for using the Premium Banking account to have been met during the promotional period, if the amount of the above-mentioned crediting to the account equals to at least HUF 400,000 or its foreign currency equivalent.
In light of the measures proposed by the Ministry of National Economy to curb inflation, the Bank has decided to offer promotional discounts on certain fees from May 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. The discounted fees included in this promotion will be indicated in the relevant Conditions Lists. The Bank reserves the right to modify or terminate these promotions with two months' prior notice to affected customers if unforeseen significant and adverse changes occur in the circumstances existing at the time of the promotions' announcement—particularly in the legal and regulatory environment applicable to the Bank—that make it unreasonable to maintain these promotional fees under unchanged conditions.

1 During a special promotion period until 31.12.2026, a minimum monthly single-amount credit of HUF 400,000 is required to be eligible for Premium Banking. Non-promotional conditions are specified in the current List of Conditions, which, in the case of a Premium Banking account, includes a monthly credit of at least twice the current minimum wage.

After opening your Raiffeisen account, set up at least one direct debit in the myRaiffeisen app as soon as possible. In the month you fulfill this - meaning you pay your bill - we will transfer the 120,000 HUF by the 16th of the following month, provided you meet all conditions. You have 6 months to complete this after opening your account.
Typically, the following services can be paid via direct debit: utility bills (water, gas, electricity), telecommunications services (phone, internet, cable TV), rent and condominium maintenance fees, insurance premiums, and subscriptions (streaming, online newspapers).

Only Hungarian citizens over 18 years old with Hungarian tax residency can currently open an account. They must have a valid chip-enabled ID card issued in Hungary after 2016, a Hungarian residential address verified by a Hungarian address card, and must not already have a personal bank account, securities account, or loan with our bank. How do I know if my ID card has NFC capability?
If your ID card has an NFC chip, you will see an NFC chip icon in the upper right corner of the card, and on the lower part of the passport cover. If your document has these markings, you can use it in our account opening process.
How do I know if my phone has NFC capability?
The easiest way to check is by searching for NFC in your phone’s settings. During the app-based account opening, NFC capability will also be verified, so you will find out once you start the process.
What should I do if I can’t take a clear photo of my documents?
When photographing your documents, make sure all data and your photo are clearly visible. Place the original document on a flat surface and align it with the frame on the screen, ensuring there are no reflections or obstructions. If your ID card is physically damaged (cracked or broken), you cannot use it for the identification process.
What should I do to ensure successful NFC reading?
Place your identification document on a stable surface, then hold your device close to the NFC chip. Your phone will vibrate to indicate the start and end of the reading process.
What should I do if the app doesn’t accept my selfie?
Make sure the photo is taken in good lighting and look straight into the camera. Hold your device at eye level so your entire face is visible, and ensure no other person appears in the picture.
What should I do if I get stuck, how to proceed?
You can restart the process. If you get stuck after providing and confirming your contact details, please wait for our callback. We will contact you within 24 hours to assist you in continuing theut didn’t receive an email.
I confirmed my phone number and accepted the declarations but didn’t receive an email. What should I do?
Check your spam or junk mail folder, or try registering again using the correct email address. If you don’t repeat the registration, we will call you within 24 hours.
When can I start using the account?
The account can be opened within minutes after you activate the mobile application.
In other cases, when additional processing steps are required, account openings initiated on business days between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM will be completed within 1 hour, while those initiated outside this time frame will be completed by 9:00 AM on the next business day.

Account Opening Promotion:
For Active, Premium Banking, Premium Banking Plus, and Kapcsolat bank accounts:
HUF 120,000 credit for new customers on Promotional bank accounts opened until revoked, but no later than 7:00 PM on June 30, 2026. The promotion applies upon card application, completion of at least one direct debit transaction by the end of the sixth month following the account opening month, consent to marketing communications via email and other electronic channels, enrollment in the Loyalty Program, and a 1-year loyalty commitment. The credited amount must be repaid if the account is closed within the loyalty period. The Loyalty Program terms are detailed in the Loyalty Program General Terms and Conditions
The promotion is NOT available for account openings initiated at Raiffeisen Financial Partner Points in Tesco stores.
The Bank reviews the fulfillment of conditions on a calendar month basis. The credit is granted only once within the 6-month period following the account opening month, upon the first fulfillment of the conditions.
A new customer is defined as someone who has not held a Raiffeisen Retail, Premium Banking, or Private Banking account in the six months prior to account opening, regardless of the account currency.
